NEW TO BLOGGING

So, I have a shop on Etsy and everyone's advice is to blog to create interest in my teddy bears. I'm still not sure why anyone would be interested in what a stranger is writing about their day to day activities but I'm willing to give it a try....

YummyHeads is the name of my teddy bear "company". I make quirky, sort of anime-style bears and once in a while the more traditional teddy comes out of my shop. I have two chihuahuas that I call my yummyheads because they are so cute I could eat them sometimes so that is where the name comes from. Hopefully, when people see my bears the first thing they think is "oooh cute little yummyhead bears!". (or maybe that's only how I think) Like when I see an adorable dog or baby I immediately think in that high-pitched Dee-Dee from Dexter's Lab squeal-"oooh pretty!" Of course I sometimes dream in cartoon too. :) Seriously, I have yet to grow up so now I make stuffed animals instead of play with them. Okay, sometimes I give them silly voices while I'm making them but that totally doesn't count as playing. It's part of the creative process.

By day I work for a really neat chiropractor in a small office in Knoxville Tn with two co-workers that are the best ever. I do the medical billing (even though in school I hated math with a passion, boy is my math teacher is getting the last laugh now)which is pretty non-creative. When I get home in the evenings and on the weekends when I can squeeze in the time I get to be creative with my little bears.

I will try to be faithful to this blog and keep it updated with my bears that I am working on and the new ones I have finished. But for now the Young and the Restless is on Soapnet and I have to go tune in...
